​Hi, I am Annabel,
I am Scottish and half Dutch.
In 2001 I moved to Freiburg (Germany) because of love. 
I studied Textiles & Surface Decoration at Art School in Aberdeen.
As a child I was drawn to fabrics & sewing. 
My aunt Jean taught me patchwork.  I also sewed my own clothes. 
After working in Interior design including John Lewis,
I became an Art Tutor in Community Arts. 
For the last 25 years I have been involved in this area.
And I LOVE it! 

I am passionate about sharing my knowledge & skills
with others. ​I firmly believe that 'creative expression'
plays a key role in our emotional development. 
I like to think my workshops are a Creative Adventure! 

I run workshops in my Atelier, do exhibitions
​and sell my art work at craft markets.

My Art Work

I create 'Textile Art Pieces' ; Fabric Panels,  Framed Pictures, Fabric Books and Accessories Anna's Handmade.  I combine techniques such as painting directly onto fabric,  printing with paper stencils, Applique & Patchwork. I transfer photos (which I take myself) onto fabric,  do mono-printing and finish off sewing using my trusty Pfaff sewing machine.

​Annabel stellt Bilder wie Malen und Collagen, Textil-Kunst und Accessoires her. Sie kombiniert Techniken wie Applique, Fotos auf Stoff, Siebdruck, lino- Schnitt und Nähen mit Hand und Maschine.
